OKEMOS, MI.Kunz, Leigh and Associates (KL&A) is proud to announce an exclusive partnership with the athletics department of Oakland University, a public university with nearly 18,000 students located in Rochester, Michigan. This partnership recognizes KL&A as the Official IT Partner of Oakland University Athletics.

“As a fan and supporter of OU athletics, I’m very excited about our new partnership with Oakland University,” KL&A Co-founder and Partner John Leigh said. “Not only will it help us expand KL&A’s presence in Oakland County and the surrounding area, but it will allow us to provide Oakland’s computer science majors with increased career opportunities. This partnership will also allow us to engage in joint community outreach initiatives with OU focusing on the needs of Oakland County schools and municipalities.”

Oakland University Athletics competes in 19 NCAA Division I men and women’s varsity sport programs with more than 325 student-athletes. Oakland established the men’s cross country program as the first intercollegiate sport in 1964. In 1997, the athletics program made the transition from NCAA Division II to Division I, competing as the Golden Grizzlies with “Grizz” established as the new mascot. Oakland currently competes in the Horizon League with Steve Waterfield serving as the athletic director.

“I am very happy to have Kunz, Leigh & Associates as the official IT partner of Oakland University Athletics,” Director of Athletics Steve Waterfield expressed. “The partnership aligns quite well with Oakland Athletics because Kunz, Leigh & Associates reflects many of the same qualities that are hallmarks of successful athletics teams — planning, preparation, innovation, and teamwork. Kunz, Leigh & Associates’ support helps position the Golden Grizzlies for continued success in competition and in the classroom.”
