Internships & Co-ops

Are you ready to pave the road to a successful career? If so, we call shotgun…

We’re just what you’re looking for.

As much as we love coffee here at KL&A, you’ll never be just an intern doing coffee runs or busy work. We value our interns as much as our full-time employees and our primary objective is to help you learn as much as you can and provide real on-the-job experience.

It is our hope that all of our interns will become full-time employees!

Who we are.

We’re overly caffeinated, kind of nerdy, and passionate about our work. All of our people are unique, and that’s what makes our teams great. But, if we had to describe the KL&A vibe in four words, we’d say…

Raised Hands

Curious.

We’re not afraid to ask questions, the smartest people do. To produce the best software and products for our clients, we never stop learning how to make things better. There’s always time for questions, and guidance so we can work together to create the best possible outcomes.

Connected people figures.

Personal.

Whether it’s a coffee talk to get to know our partners, getting to know someone over a game of ping pong, or our long, long list of employee interest groups – opportunities to chat with someone new are neverending at KL&A.

Three arrows splitting a path.

Flexible.

Our priority is continuously adapting and trying new ways to engage and support our employees, leaning into our core value of work-life balance. This is especially important within our transition to remote work. We understand that your education and growth comes first. We’ll provide you with the flexibility needed to set you up for success.

Video game controller.

Fun.

As much as we care about our work, we also know how to have fun! We consider our interns as much a part of our culture as full time employees and hope you’ll participate in the fun. You can expect annual outings and parties, niche interest activities like streaming game tournaments or attending live sporting events, and we’re always looking to get involved with volunteering opportunities!

Who you are…

We specialize in custom software development, but it takes the work of multiple teams and departments to achieve our clients’ and company’s long-term goals. What do all KL&A employees and you have in common?

  • You’re ready to engage in opportunities to learn as a professional and individual.
  • Feedback is your friend – you’re adaptable and teachable.
  • You’re not perfect – no one is! You’re comfortable asking questions and for help when needed.

and what you’ll do.

Each of our project teams and departments is unique. Many of our interns’ day-to-day responsibilities vary based on projects, skill levels, and goals. But we can promise you real, substantive experiences like…

  • Contributing to real, mission-critical projects.
  • Learning new technologies, agile methodology, and coding languages – depending on your department.
  • Developing your professional knowledge and skills. You’ll participate in every step of a project lifecycle from conception to client demos.
