Why KL&A?

We don’t force you to drink the Kool-Aid.

Sure, we have a unique culture here at KL&A. It contributes to everything we do and defines who we are. It’s even a big factor in our hiring process. We not only want to make sure that you are a good fit for us, but that we’re a good fit for you. However, we’re not like other companies. We don’t plaster posters all over the office that tell our employees who we are or how to act. We don’t need to. Our employees know they are our most valuable asset because we show it in how we treat them.

We find the balance.

We understand that our employees are part of a bigger world outside of KL&A. Therefore, we emphasize finding balance between your time at KL&A and your life beyond our office walls. We don’t expect you to live and breathe KL&A. We won’t try and keep you in the office late or on the weekends. We want you to go out and experience the world, and share those experiences with us.

We’ll treat you like family.

We want you to feel comfortable and be who you are. We appreciate the different views, beliefs, likes, and dislikes that everyone has. We welcome and value these differences. They represent an opportunity for us to learn and grow. So, we’ll embrace all the unique things that make you who you are because when you join KL&A, you’ll become part of our fun and functional family.

We know how to have fun.

We know that wearing suits every day could make us appear stuffy, but we’re not. We think we’re pretty fun! We’ve named and decorated our conference rooms after retro toys and games. Our open office allows for easy collaboration that often leads to frequent, and sometimes contagious, laughter. We’ve created a place where we’ll encourage you to take a break. Get your legs moving and go play a quick game of ping pong. Not a fan of ping pong? Perhaps our basketball league or after work gatherings are more your speed.

We’re committed.

If we had a Facebook profile, it would show us as being “in a relationship” because we’re committed to our staff. We take our relationship pretty seriously and have even written some vows to show it. (Cue the harp music!)

We, KL&A, promise to:

Put employees first. Our decision making process will always consider the positive and negative impact on the employees.

Treat a person as a person. We will always remember that our employees are real people with real families and real lives outside of KL&A.

Get it done right. Regardless of what it takes… we will always get it done right.

Never stop evolving. We will never stop evolving as a company. We will continue to challenge ourselves and will continue to challenge you.

Be in tune. We will be in tune with the industry. We will be in tune with the clients. We will be in tune with our people.

Be agile. We will be flexible and react quickly both as a company and as an employer.

Make good stuff great. We will expect more from ourselves and from our employees so that we can turn good things into great things.

Be fun but professional. We will continue to strive for both a fun and professional environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

“I’ve worked for companies that said they care about their employees but never showed it. That’s not the case here. It’s made very clear that the owners really care about their employees.”
